Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed (approx. 10 x 12 inches)
  • 6 turkey slices (thin, deli-style)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste (or marinara sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease or line a 6-cup muffin tin.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to smooth it, then cut into 6 even strips (about 2 inches wide).

2. Assemble the Roses

  • Spread Sauce: Spread a thin layer of tomato paste or marinara over each strip. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Layer Turkey & Cheese: Place a turkey slice along one side of each strip, letting it overlap the edge. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on the lower half.
  • Fold & Roll: Fold the bottom of the strip over the cheese. Roll from one end to form a spiral. Place each rolled rose into the muffin tin.

3. Bake

  • Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle extra Italian seasoning for flavor.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve warm for the best flavor with a side of marinara or a fresh salad.
  • Pair with orange juice or your favorite brunch drink.

Tips & Tricks

  • Keep the puff pastry cold for easier handling. If it softens, refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Rotate the muffin tin halfway through baking for even browning.

Storage & Reheating

  • Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat: Warm in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes to restore crispness.
  • Freeze: Freeze after baking and reheat straight from the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
